Accessibility

Lowtide Drinks LLC, Wheaton, IL, runs this site. We want everyone of legal drinking age to be able to use it, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or voice control.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we test the site against them as we build it.

• The age check can be completed with a keyboard alone, and screen readers announce it.
• Every page has a "Skip to content" link and a clear heading structure.
• Every image has a text description, and event details on flyer images are also written out as text on each event page.
• Text and button colors are checked against the WCAG contrast minimums, including the colored flavor pages.
• Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced to screen readers.
• Keyboard focus is always visible.
• Pages are built for phones first and adapt to any screen width.

The site's automated tests check every page for image descriptions and a single page heading, and the age check and sign-up form are built to work from the keyboard. A full manual keyboard and screen-reader review is scheduled before the site is listed in search engines. Anything it finds will be listed below until it is fixed.

• Links to other sites, such as retailers, maps, ticketing and social media, lead to pages we do not control.
• Some event flyers are supplied by event organizers. We describe them in text, but the image itself may not meet every guideline.

If something on the site is hard to use, email bobby.demaria@bdmproductions.com or tell us through our contact form: the page and what happened. We reply within 5 business days. If you need information from the site in another way, such as store locations or event details, ask and we will send it.

If we do not resolve the problem, reply to our answer and ask for it to be reviewed again, and it will be.
