What this site collects from you, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.

Who we are
siplowtide.net is run by Lowtide Drinks LLC, Wheaton, IL ("Lowtide", "we", "us"). Lowtide text messages are sent on our behalf by BDM Productions, a separate company owned by one of our founders. This notice explains what the site collects, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.
Section 2
This site is for adults
Lowtide is an alcoholic beverage. This site is for people of legal drinking age, 21 or older in the US, and is not directed to anyone younger. Before showing product content, the site asks for your date of birth. We use it only to check your age at that moment and do not store it.
We remember that you passed the check in a cookie for 30 days. If you are under 21, we remember that for one hour, and the site stays closed to you.

We do not collect payment information. Alcohol is not sold on this site.
Section 4
Text messages
If you tick the text-message box, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts from BDM Productions about Lowtide product releases, events and merch, up to 5 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. The full program terms are in our Terms of use.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
- We send one text right after you opt in to confirm it.
- We keep the record of your consent, and of any opt-out, so we can show what you agreed to and when.
- Opting out of texts does not unsubscribe you from email, and unsubscribing from email does not stop texts.
Section 5
Location
When you search for stores, you can type a ZIP code or let your browser share your location. The site says why before your browser asks, and nothing is shared unless you allow it. A shared location is rounded to about a city block (roughly 110 meters) before it is stored. Each search is stored with its radius and the number of stores found, without your name, email or any other identifier. We use these searches to see where people look for Lowtide and find no store nearby.

How we use information
- To send the emails and texts you asked for, and to confirm sign-ups.
- To answer questions, wholesale and press enquiries, and booking requests.
- To show stores near you and decide where Lowtide should be sold next.
- To understand and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To keep the records the law requires, such as proof of text consent and opt-outs.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Section 9
Sale and targeted advertising
This site does not sell personal information, does not share it for targeted advertising, and carries no advertising trackers.
Section 10
Your choices and rights
- Email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Location: decline the browser prompt, or type a ZIP code instead.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We honor these requests from any US resident, whatever state you live in.
Section 11
How to make a request
Send your request by email to bobby.demaria@bdmproductions.com or through our contact form. To protect you, we confirm the request is yours, usually by checking that you control the email address or phone number involved. Someone else can make a request for you; we will ask for your signed permission.
We respond within 45 days. If we decline, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we respond to an appeal within 60 days. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general. Using these rights will never affect how we treat you.

How long we keep it

Section 13
How we protect it
- Every page is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
- Sign-ups and enquiries are kept in a database the public site cannot read; only our server can read or write it.
- Staff access to personal information needs an emailed sign-in link, is limited to named people, and every view of enquiry details in our site tools is logged.
No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
Section 14
Changes to this notice
We post every change here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you first, by email or by text, whichever way you hear from us.
